MCU Phase 4: 10 Things Fans Most Want To See
4. Guardians 3 To Introduce Nova

When the MCU kicked off in 2008 with Iron Man, few would've suspected that it would head to the cosmic corners of the Marvel Universe. 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy set about doing just that, introducing audiences to one of the more unlikely Marvel properties alongside characters like Ronan the Accuser, Nova Prime, and Thanos.
The second character (and the inclusion of the Nova Corps, for that matter), bore particular significance for fans of Marvel's comics. Nova is the House of Ideas' very own Green Lantern, and though the main incarnation of the character, Richard Ryder, is yet to mount an appearance in the films, rumblings of such a move happening in Guardians 3 have hotted up in recent months.
James Gunn has already confirmed that Adam Warlock is set to play a key part in the future of the franchise, but that doesn't mean Ryder can't get in on the act too. Fans have already speculated that the destruction of Xandar and of the Nova Corps prior to Infinity War could provide the impetus for Nova to ascend to the stars, and with Marvel's cosmic element only set to get bigger and indeed better, it's unlikely the character will be omitted for much longer.
