6. He Teamed Up With Hulk, Silver Surfer & Doctor Strange
Despite not playing well with others, Namor did find one home that suited him more than most. Thanks in no small part to Netflix, many fans associate Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and Daredevil with the moniker of Defenders, but they weren’t actually the first to use it.
Namor, Hulk and Doctor Strange were the first to operate under the tag, with Silver Surfer joining soon after. The group had looser roles and still gave their stars room to manoeuvre on a solo level; not too dissimilar to the movie version of Avengers in that regard.
This meant fewer roles to reign the Submariner in, and in turn let Namor feel like part of the group more. If he ever does a team up in the MCU, Strange and Hulk seem the best fit.
Speaking of which, now that we have Professor Hulk in the MCU, Hulk could support a Strange movie just as he did an excellent job as Hulk’s foil in Ragnarok.
Having met the Ancient One and knowing that Strange was prophesied all along, they could definitely link Strange and Hulk together soon, hopefully with Namor in tow.
