5. He Went To War With Wakanda
Namor apparently has some tricky, Hulk style licensing issues, meaning Marvel might not be allowed to give him a solo movie but are able to have him to share the screen with any hero in their flick. Given the Endgame tease, this is likely to be Black Panther 2, and the pair have previously fought in the comics.
The reason Namor is so difficult to pin down is because he has a relentless view of his own goals. During Avengers Vs X-Men, he floods Wakanda in its entirety to flush out the Avengers hiding there. He’s more than willing to kill innocents to meet his needs.
Oh, and remember all that talk before Infinity War that one of the Stones would be in Wakanda? That’s because in the comics, Namor tells Thanos they’re there, leading to Wakanda’s destruction at the hands of the Mad Titan.
Finally, both T’Challa and Namor typically had an isolationist, Wakanda/Atlantis-First view of the world. Black Panther represents land better than most heroes, while Namor is the guardian of the seas; they’re naturally at loggerheads.
