MCU Phase 4: 10 Villains Marvel Could Use In Doctor Strange 2
9. Satana
With a name like 'Satana', it shouldn't be too difficult to get a general idea of the history and powers of this character. If you guessed she was in any way related to the actual, biblical Satan you would be absolutely correct! Now there's a villain fitting to take on the Sorcerer Supreme.
The fire-manipulating and soul-absorbing half-daughter of Satan (who has, since her debut, been retconned to be a demon named Marduk Kurios) has shared a long history with both Doctor Strange and Marvel comics in general, having first appeared in the series Vampire Tales, one of many horror-related titles that Marvel cut their teeth on during the silver age.
The MCU is becoming ever-more confident in dipping their toes into the bizarre and fantastica l- Thor and the world of Asgard dropped their 'half-science, half-magic' schtick a while back, and Doctor Strange was so unapologetically and outrightly magical that trying to justify his powers in any other way would almost be an insult.
That being said, what's stopping Marvel from pulling out all the stops and having one of their most popular newcomers take on the literal Queen of Hell in his sequel?
