MCU Phase 4: 10 Villains Marvel Could Use In Doctor Strange 2

8. Deathwatch

Another case of mix-and-matching a villain to a hero they are not typically associated with, Deathwatch is more traditionally a B-List villain of Ghost Rider, who's come to blows with the Spirit of Vengeance a handful of times throughout his evil-cleansing career. A villain tailor-made for the MCU, Deathwatch strikes a good balance between 'outlandish magical demon shenanigans' and 'grim and gritty and easy to put to film'.

A Demon Lord from a vague and unspecified dimension, Deathwatch reigned over the underworld of New York by posing as crime boss Stephen Lords, even going head-to-head with the Kingpin on numerous occasions.

An interesting if only slightly preposterous origin story, the exploits of a demon from another dimension acting as Kingpin-esque criminal boss would lead to Doctor Strange taking to the streets of New York more than the Astral Plane.

An often-overlooked villain just bubbling with potential, it's a shame that this villain may not get the chance to be done justice on the big screen for a while after the... best forgotten prior Ghost Rider movies. However, for a Villain so based in the worlds of magic and demons, the idea of Doctor Strange taking on the demon mafia is too tantalising to dismiss.
