MCU Phase 4: 10 Villains Marvel Could Use In Doctor Strange 2

7. Blackheart

Nightmare Marvel
Marvel Comics

Of all the villains on this list, Blackheart is perhaps the most unique in his origin story and powers. A shape-shifting, teleporting, reality-manipulating, telepathic, telekinetic and insanely intelligent son of Mephisto who is literally formed of the pure evil found in a popular murder spot in New York. Not the cheeriest of villains, then.

Blackheart is a surprisingly layered Villain who could almost be considered an anti-hero in his methods. More fascinated by man's free will and a desire to end the reign of Mephisto, Blackheart has one of the most important ingredients in crafting a great villain... he's almost likeable.

In a world ravaged by the tyrannical obsessions of Thanos, it's not too difficult to see how Blackheart could be implemented in the MCU. With Strange's mentor The Ancient One having been revealed as a hypocritical teacher who dabbled in Dark Magic, the makings of a more subtle and thought-provoking story about the moral greys areas and the dynamic of good and evil can be seen, a story yet to be told in the MCU.
