MCU Phase 4: 10 Ways It's Setting The Stage For An Epic Phase 5
4. The Inhumans
The Inhumans once starred in an ill-fated Marvel Television TV series which premiered on IMAX screens and later aired on ABC. It was a disaster, with a tonne of poor creative decisions, sets and costumes which looked seriously low budget, and an apparent total lack of understanding about what makes characters like Black Bolt and Medusa great.
It was such a colossal failure that IMAX scrapped plans to launch TV shows on its screens, but with Ms. Marvel coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kevin Feige now has the opportunity to reintroduce those characters...and do them justice!
Rumour has it that the Inhumans will be part of the character's Disney+ TV series, while it's easy to imagine Eternals setting the stage for their eventual debut as well. Black Bolt is a great character, and it's said Vin Diesel might finally get the chance to play him in Ms. Marvel. Quicksilver actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, meanwhile, is rumoured to be his villainous brother, Maximus.
Time will tell whether that comes to pass, but if Ms. Marvel is indeed going to make use of those characters and introduce concepts like the Terrigen Crystals, it will be down to Phase 5 to expand on those...and hopefully give the team their own movie.
