MCU Phase 4: 10 Ways It's Setting The Stage For An Epic Phase 5
3. Young Avengers Assemble
So, with it clear that Marvel Studios' focus now is introducing a new generation of heroes, it makes sense for the next iteration of the Avengers to take inspiration from the Young Avengers.
In the comic books, the Young Avengers assembled after the core team broke up and the likes of Iron Lad (a young Kang the Conqueror), Stature (Ant-Man's daughter), and Hawkeye (Kate Bishop) were all part of that roster.
The latter will be introduced in the Hawkeye TV series, while there's got be a reason Cassie Lang was aged up in Avengers: Endgame. Wiccan and Speed, the children of Vision and the Scarlet Witch, are set to appear in WandaVision, and Ms. Marvel - not a member of the team in the comics, but still a teen hero - is obviously also on the way.
With that, the MCU has its Young Avengers.
This would be an unexpected direction to take the Avengers franchise, but one that makes sense after Endgame grossed enough money to give Kevin Feige all the creative freedom in the world. As for when this team will actually come together, it's pretty obvious it will be in Phase 5!
