2. The MCU Embraces The Supernatural

At the end of last year's San Diego Comic-Con, Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali was announced as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Blade, but there's been no mention of the character since. With no sign of him in Phase 4, it's clear he's being saved for Phase 5, but this next wave of movies is going to set the stage for things to get seriously spooky in this shared world.

Moon Knight promises to embrace that tone, while Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness also promises to be horror movie-inspired to some extent. Throw in rumours about characters like Werewolf by Night and Ghost Rider, and it's beginning to feel like future stories will move away from the cosmic side of things and instead embrace the supernatural.

Just vampires being part of the MCU will see to that, of course, but it would definitely be refreshing to see Phase 5 take on a totally different tone to what became known as "The Infinity Saga."

Based on what's been revealed about Phase 4, it's apparent the pieces are all slowly being put into place to make that happen, and seeing it all come together is going to be very exciting.
