You love Deadpool. We love Deadpool. The box office currently loves Deadpool. So why is Deadpool only here in the hype ranking? Well, because nobody can possibly have any sort of idea of what the MCU Deadpool will even mean.

The latest rumours suggest that 'Pool might appear in Thor: Love And Thunder to set up his own movie in Phase 5, but the caveat is that his continuity will be reset and his story won't follow on directly from Deadpool 2. Which means he probably hasn't just murdered Ryan Reynolds, which he'll presumably be delighted to hear.

Deadpool poses a problem for Disney, because he's a huge draw, but he's also nothing like anything they've done before. They COULD go with an annex option, like Fox did, and have him seemingly existing in a different universe from the mainline MCU, but that would be a cop out and a trade down on the potential here. Let's hope they just go brave with him.
