4. "Mutants" (Whatever That Means)

We all know that the X-Men are coming to the MCU at some point, but it's rather telling that Kevin Feige used the end of his Comic Con appearance to drop the word mutants rather than explicitly mentioning the most famous mutant team in comic book history.

Whether than means his seeding plan involves introducing characters and then building up to an X-Men ensemble event (i.e. the same approach he took to the Avengers) or he's just being coy remains to be seen, but it's too big a brand not to be coming pretty soon anyway.

By the look of it, mutants will form a key part of Phase 5 as Marvel look to finally use their newly purchased Fox character rights and it probably would make sense for them to introduce individuals rather than a team all at once. But then again, the difficulty of adapting them all without real histories suggests that a huge multiverse event that brings them in fully formed might well be the smarter approach.

Either way, it's all exciting stuff.
