MCU Phase 4: Predicting Every Major Character That Will Join

5. Silver Surfer

Silver Surfer
Marvel Comics

First Appearance: Fantastic Four #48

Of all of Jack Kirby's Marvel characters, Silver Surfer is up there with the creator's very best.

Introduced in 1966 by Kirby and Stan Lee, the Silver Surfer has come to exemplify everything about Marvel's cosmic stories. He looks fantastic, has a brilliant name, a superb method of transportation and, as the Herald to Galactus, a tragic backstory to boot.

He's a formidable hero in every sense of the word, and while audiences will no doubt have memories of Norrin Radd's appearance in Fox's second Fantastic Four film, that shouldn't give Marvel cause for concern, especially when they're on the cusp of retrieving the rights to both he and all the other characters included within the Fantastic Four license.

The Surfer is just an irresistable (and unavoidable) aspect of Marvel's sci-fi books. He brings Galactus, the Watchers and the Power Cosmic to the table, and with Infinity War having opened the floodgates to those kinds of stories, expect a cinematic fast-track in the near future.
