First Appearance: Ultimate Fallout #4

No other Spider-Man character introduced this decade (not even Spider-Gwen) has managed to make as big an impact as Miles Morales. The part African-American, part Latino teenager made waves initially during Brian Bendis and Sara Pichelli's seminal Ultimate Spider-Man comic, before later making the leap to the Marvel Universe's main 616 timeline as a key hero of New York City.

Miles will actually be making his cinematic debut later this year in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. It's not connected to the MCU however, and while the character was referenced in Spider-Man: Homecoming, fans are still awaiting the moment Miles joins for proper. Of course the fact that Tom Holland is playing a young Peter Parker might delay his arrival, but there's more than enough room for both Spider-Men, especially if Marvel are as keen to divest from past interpretations of the Spidey lore as they supposedly are.

With Morales set to benefit from a burgeoning media profile in both Spider-Man PS4 and the aforementioned Spider-Verse movie, expect live-action to be his next destination.
