MCU Phase 4 Rumours: 12 New Characters Who Could Appear Next

8. Super Skrull

With Captain Marvel bringing the Skrulls to the MCU and serious hints already that Phase 4 will explore the Secret Invasion storyline, everything is set up nicely for a new big bad to appear with links to that story. If we're going to see the revelation that the alien race has completely infiltrated humanity, then there's a war coming and the fightback will undoubtedly include the Skrulls' most famous champion.

There's something particularly fitting about the idea of the Super Skrull appearance - which has been rumoured since the appearance of the concept art before and the inclusion of a superskrulls hashtag - because of how it turns heroes' powers against them. He comes empowered by each of the four Fantastic Four member's powers and that would be a fitting way to bring in that hero team too.

If the story is going to be the overall arch of Phase 4, then we can expect an escalation and it makes a lot of sense that it would be Super Skrull.
