MCU Phase 5: 10 Major Spider-Man Predictions That Must Happen

Just as we're doomed to see Bruce Wayne's parents die in every Batman saga, it is inevitable that Uncle Ben will meet his end in every Spider-Man story.

Props to the MCU for delaying the inevitable for as long as possible, allowing us to empathize with the grief Peter and May share without even so much as a flashback alluding to Uncle Ben's death. Unfortunately, this is a defining moment in Peter Parker's life and it's only a matter of time until it's played out on the big screen once again.

Phase 5 seems like the right time for Ben Parker to enter into the MCU. Hopefully, it'll be handled in a way that is meaningful. Shoehorning him into the story could be problematic, especially if they attempt another Spider-Man 3 storyline and can't stick the landing.

Death, however tragic and permanent, has meaning in the MCU and the writers handle such a dark topic remarkably well. Quicksilver's death was a surprise and a shock. GotG has audiences reaching for the tissues. And don't even get us started on Endgame.

Uncle Ben may be destined to die before our eyes once more, but if there's a right time to do it, it's Phase 5.
