MCU Phase 5: Every Single Character Confirmed (So Far)

1. J Jonah Jameson (JK Simmons) - Spider-Man 3

The crowning glory of the Spider-Man 3 we might not now get in the MCU (but which will still exist and has to be acknowledged as an annex of the MCU because of how much Spider-Man relied on Iron Man to get to where he is), was the return of J Jonah Jameson.

Incredibly cleverly cast with JK Simmons again - but in a different form, of course - Jameson would have been the public catalyst behind the hunt for Spider-Man, but there can be no doubt that he was going to be manipulated behind the scenes by a powerful political figure like Osborn.

Hopefully, we'll still get to see this, but it definitely takes the shine off that we probably won't get to see how Kevin Feige would have advised these character arcs. At least right now, anyway.
