MCU: Predicting Marvel's Next 20 "Completely Different" Movies

19. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3

The other film that has already been announced from the post-Avengers 4 slate is James Gunn's trilogy-ending Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3, which he promises will close out THIS iteration of the Guardians team. That doesn't necessarily mean we won't get to see a fourth movie, but the likelihood is that we won't see Gunn direct or the same cast members.

Quite what shape the third movie will take remains to be seen. We've already seen Star-Lord's story play out and Gamora, Drax and Nebula's stories will all find their closure in Infinity War (or its sequel). So you'd have to suspect we'll either get a tighter focus on Rocket and Groot or an entirely new story (unless Drax's daughter Moondragon appears out of nowhere) as well as the focus on Adam Warlock's clash with the Guardians.

No matter what the story, it'll be very good to see the Guardians back in action with the promise of hundreds of new songs for the soundtrack this time out.
