Owner of arguably the coolest voice in all of Hollywood, Jensen Ackles’ favourable looks are more than matched by his acting. The Texan is no stranger to the world of superheroes as his recent role as Soldier Boy within Amazon Prime’s The Boys proved age is just a number, boasting a striking physique that the X-Men's most popular member himself would be impressed by.
Although his role as Dean Winchester within Supernatural has engulfed most of his career to date, Ackles’ transition into the world of dysfunctional superheroes in The Boys has proved a masterstroke. His iteration of Soldier Boy chronicled a broken, alone, and equally rage-filled man left behind as society moved on without him, similar to Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine as depicted in 2017.
Although the MCU's largely family-friendly regime may prove difficult at first glance for a man whose incarnation as a supposed superhero is as foul-mouthed as they come, Ackles would indeed make for a merciless Wolverine.
The 44-year-old would harness an unforgiving Logan whose lurid actions speak louder than their limited words, and the role may offer Ackles his way into the MCU after narrowly missing out on the role of Captain America some years ago.
