6. Beast - Heroic Age

The fact that Marvel fans will never get to see Kelsey Grammer as Beast ever again is as big a loss as J. K. Simmons likely never returning as J. Jonah Jameson. You'll never find a more perfect comic book casting, and yet he was left to languish in X-Men 3, never to return.

Still, third time's the charm and all that. So, with that spirit in mind, Marvel would do well to make their version of Beast every bit the intellectual he was in the earlier X-films. Once they've nailed that aspect down, then they should get to work on making the character's wardrobe as vibrant as possible.

Beast has used various outfits in the comics, but one Marvel would do well to strive for is the one seen back during the Heroic Age event at the start of the decade. Yes, it was black, but it had a healthy dose of yellow and came during a period where Beast was mingling with both the Avengers and the X-Men.

In later years, Doctor McCoy has also used welding goggles as a substitute for his glasses, and they'd work a treat on the silver screen.
