MCU X-Men: 5 Things Disney Must Learn From Fox's Movies
3. Death Should Be Meaningful
This is a much more general point, one that should be observed across all of Marvel's movies.
With Infinity War killing off literally billions of people - and Endgame seeming likely to bring most, if not all, of them back - death doesn't look like it's going to be portrayed as anything more than the interruption it is for the heroes in the comics.
And though Fox's X-movies may have also presented what should be a tragic event in a very similar way (the unexplained resurrection of Professor Xavier being the most obvious example), they have also shown audiences a truly harrowing depiction of the subject, with several of the scenes in Logan being a clear indication that superhero deaths can be more than just a throwaway plot device, and become genuinely moving.
