Michael Bay – Ranking His Films From Worst To Best

10. Transformers: Dark Of The Moon

While it didn't reach the level of scorn that Revenge Of The Fallen did, Dark Of The Moon still achieved an impressive level of hate. The final part of the LaBeouf €œtrilogy€ featured his character being a whiny, entitled dick while more Transformers stuff happens around him. Megan Fox got switched out for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who is introduced with a camera pointed right at her bum; she doesn€™t get developed further than that. The movie is another overlong (there€™s nothing here that requires it to take 150 minutes) chore, and thanks to a lack of likeable characters it feels even longer. The heroic Autobot Transformers pull what can only be called a dick move towards the end, and it€™s hard to believe humanity is supposed to be rooting for them to succeed. Even the lovingly photographed explosions get boring after awhile. Again the movie ends with a swirl of CGI havoc, which is occasionally impressive to look at but hard to care about. The only positive people took away from Dark Of The Moon is that it was supposed to be Bay€™s final Transformers movie. He signed on for the fourth movie shortly after.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
