7. It Mostly Wastes An Excellent Supporting Cast
What an absurdly brilliant cast this movie somehow acquired. Considering the low $8 million budget couldn't afford to pay them much and the script's hardly Shakespeare, it's baffling what attracted so many name actors to the project, and yet here they are.
Sadly the likes of Toby Jones, Rose Leslie, Boyd Holbrook and Michelle Yeoh are largely left juggling cliches and reeling through exposition, while the most criminal abuses of Hollywood talent are Jennifer Jason Leigh and Brian Cox, whose characters are so inconsequential the movie could basically have happened without them.
In honesty, much of the movie's fun stems from wondering which name actor will randomly show up next, even if they're egregiously wasted in pursuit of a seemingly meager payday.
