Mortal Kombat 2021 Movie: Everything We Know

A large amount of the cast for Mortal Kombat 2021 has already been announced alongside who they'll be portraying. Confirmed so far is Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, Mechad Brooks as Jackson Briggs, Elissa Cadwell as Nitara, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Max Huang as Kung Lao, Josh Lawson as Kano, Ludi Lin and Liu Kang, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Sisi Stringer as Mileena, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion and Joe Taslim as Bi-Han.

Alongside this, Lewis Tan and Matilda Kimber have been confirmed to have roles in the film, but who they will playing is still unknown. The same is true for ohnny Cage. It's great to see that the people behind the film are making sure to correctly represent these characters, as Mortal Kombat has always boasted a wide range of nationalities in its fighting roster.

But who could Lewis Tan and Matilda Kimber be playing? Looking at the already confirmed roster, it's odd that Reptile isn't already listed, so perhaps Lewis Tan will be portraying the reptilian assassin with the help of some impressive makeup. Matilda Kimber is a child actress, so perhaps she'll be portraying a young Kitana or Sonya Blade? Johnny Cage's actor is likely being kept under wraps for a surprise reveal, but it would make sense that they would choose a well known star to play the big-headed star. So far fans have predicted the likes of Chris Pratt and Ryan Reynolds, but only time will tell.

Maybe we'll see the odd cameo from the 90s film's cast? Fingers crossed.
