2. There's One Scene You Will Never Forget

No spoilers here, but a lot of reviews have been going nuts over "that scene", an incredibly shocking moment that's prompted walk-outs and is sure to be the most-discussed and controversial moment of the movie.

Whether you deem it an act of shock value or something intended to strike a more meaningly visceral note, it is very much in step with the horrific images Aronofsky has shown us in his previous films (especially Requiem for a Dream), and certainly the most upsetting thing he's ever put on screen.

In terms of execution, it's a great scene, even if it's naturally going to push the film over the edge for many. Decades from now, you'll probably still remember how revolted you were at this particular sequence, even if you never watch it again.
