5. The Actors Are Too Old To Play Teenagers

Dave Franco Nerve
Lionsgate

Something that was almost laughably apparent from the trailers alone is the fact that the majority of the movie's cast are far, far too old to be playing teenagers. Now, while it's never explicitly stated that Dave Franco's character is a high-schooler, even early 20s is a bit of stretch for him (he's 31 years old in reality), while the 25-year-old Emma Roberts is just scarcely believable as a 17-18 year-old.

The most embarrassing spot of casting in the entire movie, however, is Orange is the New Black's Kimiko Glenn as one of Roberts' high-school buddies. She's 27 years old and is hilariously unbelievable as someone 10 years her junior, all the more so because the wardrobe department have blatantly tried to "dress her young".

It's not a deal breaker, but it sure is distracting all the same.
