20 Upcoming 2026 Movies You Don't Know About (But Should)

Osgood Perkins has had such an impressively fast output as of late that it's frankly difficult to keep up, given that Longlegs, The Monkey, and Keeper were all released in less than 18 months.

And by the end of 2025 Perkins had already wrapped production on his next film, The Young People.

Perkins and distributor Neon are keeping key details firmly under wraps for now, but the plot reportedly follows two school friends (Lola Tung and Nico Parker) who grow apart after one begins demonstrating disturbing behaviour.

A page of the script posted by Perkins makes mention of "The Old Ones", leading some to speculate the film may have a Lovecraftian influence. Or it just might be about old people desperately feasting off the young - who knows?

The wider ensemble cast also might be Perkins' most impressively, strangely eclectic yet, with the likes of Tatiana Maslany, Johnny Knoxville, Heather Graham, and Nicole Kidman (!) in the mix.

Perkins' films are certainly an acquired taste, but you can't accuse the guy of churning out generic horror slop - all the more laudable considering his work rate.
