New Batman Movie: 10 Things We Want To See in Batman 4

7. Jim Gordon€™s Personal Life

All we really got to see of Jim Gordon in Nolan€™s movies was how he related to Batman. How he made his job easier, or more difficult. But in the comics, Gordon has been around so long we€™ve been given the opportunity to get to know him about as well as we do the Caped Crusader. He€™s had affairs, marital discord, he€™s had children and grown alienated from them; he€™s watched his life spiral out of control, not thanks to Batman €“ it has little to do with Batman whatsoever €“ but thanks to Gotham City. With that in mind, it€™s easy to accept why Gordon holds so much stock in the Caped Crusader. Gary Oldman was great as Jim Gordon, but we always thought he was a much deeper character than Nolan let on. Maybe Batman 4 is the perfect time to delve in further.
