New Batman Movie: 10 Things We Want To See in Batman 4

6. An Investigation

I€™m not going to go into my feelings about Nolan abandoning the €˜World€™s Greatest Detective€™ trait, I€™m starting to move past it now, but suffice to say Batman did very little investigating in the current franchise. Even Tim Burton€™s movies brushed over Bats€™ keen eye for detection, and we think it€™s about time the movie property finally accepted this as part of the character. In a reboot, we€™d love to see, quite simply, an investigation. In the comics, some of Batman€™s coolest moments are during the hunt. Yeah, the ensuing face-off is always a huge pay off, but the anticipation of getting there is what makes the overall Batman experience so textured and satisfying. And what a great way to insert some much needed noir into the franchise (everything could use more noir). We€™re not talking about turning the whole thing into CSI: Gotham, let€™s just see Batman using his genius level intellect a little bit. That€™s supposed to be his main superpower after all.
