20 Recent Horror Movies That NEED Sequels
15. Until Dawn
Though last year's big-screen adaptation of hit horror video game Until Dawn received a mixed response from critics and audiences alike, it touted one hell of a fun, inspired time loop twist, with the central characters being sent back to the start of said loop every time they're killed.
That formula alone could be good for a whole glut of Until Dawn sequels, and though the film was a relatively modest box office success - grossing $54 million against a $15 million budget - Sony would be foolish not to give it another go.
After all, with the Until Dawn 2 video game set to release early next year, there's still a sizable fanbase out there worth capitalising on, especially if the second film can achieve a sturdier mix of creative kills, dark humour, and mind-bending time loop shenanigans.
The wider universe of the Until Dawn franchise is large enough that exploring more of it cinematically makes too much sense not to happen.
