New Mutants Movie: 10 X-Men Characters We Want To See

1. Warpath

Another Native American character, Warpath originated as the younger brother of the deceased Thunderbird. Following the death of his brother (the first member of the team to actually die on a mission, and possibly the only dead Marvel comic character that didn€™t come back from the dead), Proudstar started off as a member of the New Mutants€™ long-term rivals, The Hellions. After a brief stint as an enemy, Warpath soon saw the light and switched to Xavier€™s School James Proudstar possessed the generic enhanced strength and speed found in superhumans the world over. He also possesses Wolverine-like senses and a healing factor. Unlike many of his teammates, Warpath has never been afraid to use lethal force, carrying a set of hunting knives with him at all times. Like Blink and Sunspot, Warpath is yet another member of the New Mutants with a minor role in Days of Future Past (anyone else seeing a pattern here?). Following the now-default trend of each movie being darker and edgier than its predecessor, a character with an axe to grind with Xavier, and who isn€™t afraid to use brutal force, could potentially add some much-needed frission to the team. And of course, if Fox are finally putting Wolverine on a back burner, Warpath is ideal to slip into his role as the team€™s go-to brawler.

With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
