Nick Fury: 10 Ramifications His Disney+ Series Could Have For The Marvel Cinematic Universe
7. The Formation Of The Secret Warriors
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Nick Fury was responsible for assembling The Avengers. However, with that team now off doing its own thing and no longer under his watchful eye, it wouldn't be at all surprising if he were to bring a new group together in this series: the Secret Warriors.
The team is made up of characters like Quake (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Daisy Johnson), Phobos, the son of Ares, Hellfire, the grandson of the Phantom Rider, and Druid, the son of Doctor Druid. Those are just a few examples, but as you can probably tell, they're mostly "legacy" characters related to those Fury worked with as a younger man.
That could be an interesting idea to explore in the MCU, albeit with characters linked to some familiar faces from throughout this shared world.
Their introduction adds another superhero team to future stories, while Marvel Studios could even borrow elements from Brian Michael Bendis' Secret War, an adventure which saw Fury recruit heroes and outfit them with stealth tech to invade Latveria, the home of one Doctor Doom.
