Nick Fury: 10 Ramifications His Disney+ Series Could Have For The Marvel Cinematic Universe
6. The Infinity Formula
If you're at all familiar with Nick Fury, then you'll know he's been knocking around since World War II. After fighting alongside Captain America and the Howling Commandos during that period, he later took charge of S.H.I.E.L.D., but as the decades passed, Marvel Comics needed an explanation for why he hadn't aged.
Well, that was where the Infinity Formula came in - a life-extending drug that Fury had essentially been addicted to for decades. One popular storyline saw him forced to head into action when his supply was stolen, and while the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Fury clearly hasn't been using it, it would make sense for him to set off on a mission to find some.
While the comic book version of the Infinity Formula is unrelated to the Infinity Stones, the two could very easily be tied together in the MCU.
How does this affect stories moving forward? Well, a drug that grants immortality is likely to factor into a number of future storylines, while Fury actually taking it could lead to a younger actor, as mentioned, taking over the role as the MCU's resident super spy.
