Ninja Turtles: 10 Reasons It's Going To Suck

7. Jonathan Liebesman Directing

005 With so much ire being directed towards Michael Bay, it's easy to forget that he isn't even directing the damn thing; that prestigious honour goes to South African filmmaker Johnathan Liebesman, whose CV to date includes masterpieces of cinema such as Darkness Falls, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, The Killing Room, Battle: Los Angeles and Wrath of the Titans. Given how not a single one of these films has been even remotely good, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it's pretty likely that Ninja Turtles won't be very good either (but it'll make a bunch of that precious money, yes). What do his films have in common? Even putting aside the inane scripts - which admittedly aren't always his fault - the focus on visual effects often hampers action scenes that should be stunning, and simply the guy just doesn't have a very good grasp on how to get viewers' blood pumping.
