Ninja Turtles: 10 Reasons It's Going To Suck

2. Production Delays

Though we are apparently heading towards an April start date for location shooting for Ninja Turtles, the project has been long delayed due to apparent ambivalence from Paramount, a danger sign above all else that things are not looking good. Last June, it was announced that production was being shut down temporarily and the film was being delayed from Christmas of this year until May 2014. Though it followed a series of production delays for Paramount (notably for Battleship, G.I. Joe: Retaliation and World War Z), the actual shutting down of pre-production offices and sacking of workers is especially worrying, implying that Paramount made some serious changes in their trajectory for the project last summer. These rickety production schedules never look good, and for a film already plagued with so many issues and question marks, it's just another nail in the coffin.
