Why It Should Be a Movie
The Social Network with sandals. There's juicy thematic possibilities in exploring a history-capsizing movement in its nascent form. That's what the Facebook movie did, so why can't something similar be done for one of the world's major religions? You could follow the Biblical account literally and have the disciples receive language powers from tongues of flame, thus making it a quasi-fantasy film. Or you could simply play it ambiguously realistic, so that we're unsure of what the disciples do and don't know about Jesus' nature. Either way, it would be a fascinating flick.
