A quick update on
Ridley Scott's next movie after
American Gangster. (which I'm hoping we'll see a trailer for soon!).
The Hollywood Reporter are telling us that
Nottingham is going through a script re-write, with
L.A. Confidential and
Mystic River scribe
Brian Helgeland hired for the job. Universal are hoping this re-write won't get in the way of the scheduled production start of early 2008.
Russell Crowe will star as The Sheriff of Nottingham in this contemporary take on the classic tale, which sees Crowe's Sheriff as the sympathetic good guy... and Robin Hood as the villain! No word on who will be playing Robin Hood as of yet.
