8. Achievement In Music Written For Motion Pictures (Original Song)

The question here isn't whether La La Land will be nominated, but how many songs it'll have in the running. City of Stars is all but guaranteed, and almost certainly the winner, but Audition could well make the list too.

Aside from La La Land, the meaningful competition will come from Moana, with How Far I'll Go (and a chance to move Lin-Manuel Miranda one step closer to an EGOT), and Justin Timberlake's earworm Can't Stop The Feeling from Trolls. Hidden Figures and Sausage Party (not often you'll see them together) are in contention to round out the nominees.
