Who Should Win

La La Land.

The two standouts here are La La Land and Hail, Caesar!, both of which - in their own way - invoke imagery of the Golden Age of Hollywood. But whereas Caesar goes for a more straightforward (if impressive) recreation, La La Land delivers a gorgeous blend of old and new. Technicolour meets modern day Los Angeles, and the result is a sumptuous feast for the eyes.

Who Will Win

La La Land.

Again, it's likely to come down to La La versus Caesar. The Academy loves movies that reflect on the past of Hollywood, which the Coens' movie does very well, with some showy set-pieces. But La La has all the love elsewhere, which Hail, Caesar! definitely does not,
