Oscars 2020: 10 Ups & 6 Downs
7. Eminem's Surprise "Lose Yourself" Performance
Outside of the actual Best Picture win itself, the biggest surprise of the night was an unexpected appearance by Eminem, who hit the stage to perform a rendition of his Oscar-winning 8 Mile title track "Lose Yourself."
Though there were a few technical hiccups throughout the performance - namely Em's backing track being clearly audible - it was still great to see the rapping icon on the stage, performing what remains one of the strongest Best Original Song wins in Oscar history.
Considering that Eminem didn't actually turn up to the Oscar ceremony where he won, opting instead for a nap, it's especially amusing that he could be convinced to take the Oscar stage years later.
And better still, viewers got to enjoy an hilariously diverse variety of reactions from the audience, such as Martin Scorsese damn-near falling asleep while Kelly Marie Tran enthusiastically rapped along.
