Oscars 2021: Final Predictions For Nominations In Every Category

NOMINEES:

Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal)

Chadwick Boseman (Ma Rainey's Black Bottom)

Anthony Hopkins (The Father)

Gary Oldman (Mank)

Steven Yuen (Minari)

The Best Actor field feels pretty much sewn up, with a posthumous win almost certainly going to Chadwick Boseman, but there are fringe possibilities that Ahmed, Oldman, or Yuen could be replaced by Mads Mikkelsen (Another Round) or another early contender whose momentum has since iced, Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods).

It's best not to expect many if any surprises here, but it's also tough to argue with the accomplished slate either no matter how it turns out.
