Oscars 2022: All 20 Actors Who Could Get Their First Oscar Nomination

There's absolutely no doubt in the world that Will Smith will receive his third Best Actor Oscar nomination for his performance as Venus and Serena Williams' father Richard Williams, and he could very well walk away with the gong outright.

But don't let that overshadow the possibility that he'll be nominated alongside Emmy nominee Aunjanue Ellis, who portrays his wife Brandi.

Dubbed "the movie’s secret weapon" by Variety, Ellis' Brandi serves as a counter-point to Smith's larger-than-life Richard, and given how well she apparently plays off Smith, it's little surprise she's a strong prospect for Best Supporting Actress.

With such a crowded field Ellis is certainly on the bubble right now, but she could very well transition into a sure thing in the coming months.
