Oscars 2022: Final Predictions For Nominations In Every Category

NOMINEES:

Javier Bardem (Being the Ricardos)

Benedict Cumberbatch (The Power of the Dog)

Andrew Garfield (Tick, Tick... Boom!)

Will Smith (King Richard)

Denzel Washington (The Tragedy of Macbeth)

This is all about that pesky fifth slot: Cumerbatch, Garfield, Smith, and Washington are all firmly locked in place without a possibility of being snubbed.

Javier Bardem is the most likely #5 given his support from both SAG and the Golden Globes, but there's a lot of enthusiasm for Leonardo DiCaprio (Don't Look Up), Peter Dinklage (Cyrano), and Cooper Hoffman (Licorice Pizza), any of whom have an outside chance of making it in.

But short of a disaster this is Smith's Oscar to lose, and just about everybody knows it.
