4. Liwen Shao

Shao Corporation CEO Liwen Shao (Jing Tian) is the film's most blatant attempt to cater to the Chinese market - which helped make the first film a modest success - and while she spends much of the film playing a typical stuffed-shirt, she's at least shown to be smart, resourceful, and when the time calls for it in act three, a capable fighter.

Granted, Jing Tian isn't the most gifted actress, but her transformation from apparent antagonist to saviour is actually relatively surprising - if also in service of the terrible Newt twist - and at least makes her character slightly more interesting than expected.

If Legendary Pictures could stop forcing Tian on audiences, though, that'd be nice.
