Pacific Rim: Uprising Review - 3 Ups & 7 Downs

2. The Epic Final Battle

Pacific Rim Uprising

Though the film leaves you waiting and waiting (and waiting) for the inevitable Jaeger vs. Kaiju battle, it is a whole lot of fun when it finally happens.

Sure, you can argue it drags on a little too long for its own good, but the desperate dash to stop the Kaiju from achieving their goal - causing a cataclysmic event on Earth - and the resulting epic fight is quite the sight to see indeed.

It doesn't even begin to reach the heights of the previous film's finale, but it's still easily the most spectacular and entertaining set-piece in this film.

After suffering through 80 rather middling minutes, at least the finale serves up the rock 'em sock 'em mayhem fans paid their admission for.
