1. The Ridiculous Sequel-Bait Ending

Don't get out of your seat the moment the film's end titles appear, because there's a post-titles scene shoved ahead of the main credits that teases what's to come in the proposed third movie.

It ties into one of our aforementioned complaints and only further compounds it, while nodding towards the potential for a trilogy-capping entry in a few years' time.

It remains to be seen how the sequel's box office will fare, but with the film pandering heavily to Chinese markets - after the original made over 25% of its box office profits from the country - Universal is clearly hoping for another modest hit.

Either way, the die is cast for a follow-up, and from the set-up this movie gives us, doubling down on probably its worst subplot, it could end up quite the calamity indeed (especially for those who weren't that hot on this first sequel as it is).

Uprising is an undeniable let-down, there's no getting around it, but it does also have a few bright spots, so let's run them down...
