Paranormal Activity - The Ghost Dimension: 12 Ways It Ruins The Franchise

3. ...But We Still Don't Really Know What He Looks Like (Or Anything About Him)

Even though Toby's demon form is seen throughout the film, we still don't really have much of a distinctive look at his features: his face just looks like a blurry skeleton, and most depressingly, even when he finally gets a human form in the final 60 seconds of the film, we only see his legs. Given how much the reveal of Toby's form was played-up by the filmmakers ahead of release, it's a massive let-down that the series (apparently) comes to an end without playing all of its cards. If they're going to go this route, they need to do the whole hog or simply not bother. Also, the nature of Toby and his genesis isn't remotely explained, which is a shame, as given how much this series loves to dump exposition on both its characters and the audience, why not delve into his back story a little?
