Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales Review - 5 Ups & 5 Downs
3. Paul McCartney's Underwhelming Cameo
It's no secret that Paul McCartney has a cameo in the film, one that was said to be part of an expensive set-piece added late in the game. However, fans shouldn't get their hopes up, because his cameo has nothing to do with any sort of grand action sequence, and is done with in about 30 seconds flat.
Yes, it's amusing to see McCartney decked out in pirate makeup, but considering the early word that he'd have a bigger part in a huge, costly sequence and maybe even sing a song, his brief spoken role is totally underwhelming by comparison.
It happens, the movie swiftly moves on and it's never mentioned again. That's it. It's nowhere near as fun as, say, Keith Richards' infamous turn as Jack's father.
