Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales Review - 5 Ups & 5 Downs

Clocking in at just over two hours in length, Dead Men Tell No Tales feels positively snappy compared to both the previous Pirates films and, indeed, bloated blockbuster fare in general.

It moves fast, doesn't stop in one place for too long and doles out the action at a consistent clip, which is in particular contrast to 2007's woeful At World's End, which ran a brutal 169 minutes and made the audience feel almost every minute of it.

Sure, there are occasional lulls, but for the most part there's a firm balance between the barmy action and the dialogue-driven downtime. You probably won't be clock-watching much, which is more than can be said for the last two movies.
