Pixar: Ranking Every Upcoming Film By Anticipation

3. Finding Dory

The Good Dinosaur
Pixar

To say that 2003's Finding Nemo is kind of a big deal for Pixar would be an understatement. Until Toy Story 3 arrived, Finding Nemo was Pixar's highest grossing film worldwide, with characters like Nemo, Marlin, Bruce, Crush and, of course, Dory instantly becoming some of the company's more popular faces. Not to mention, it continues to be present in Disney theme parks the world over.

Having been in development since 2012, expectations are high for the sequel to live up to its predecessor. Ellen DeGeneres hasn't lost one ounce of enthusiasm for the film since revealing it on her show back in 2013, repeatedly reiterating her love for the character and sharing with People that Dory's status as a "flawed" character means that "it's important for kids to grow up and see flawed characters that are lovable and that really, no matter if they make mistake after mistake, they have a little surrounding pack, like a friendship with all these other fish that they travel with that forgive her. And even though they're frustrated with her, they love her."

Between returning cast members like Albert Brooks and Willem Dafoe and all new ones like Ty Burrell, Ed O'Neill, Kaitlin Olson, Idris Elba, Dominic West, Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy, along with all the genuine passion being oozed by those involved, the sequel already has a lot going for it in making sure Dory's quest to find her family resonates with fans just as Finding Nemo has continued to.

Release Date: June 17th, 2016.
