Power Rangers: 11 Improvements For The Sequel

5. Giving Zack & Trini More To Do

The film did a great job developing the Rangers as actual human beings, though it's fair to say that more could've been done with Zack and Trini in particular.

Zack is the cocky a**hole who has an ill mother, and he basically disappears off-screen for most of the movie's action, while Trini gets her fantastic campfire confession scene, but still feels far more vague as a character compared to, say, Billy, Jason and Kimberly.

With the groundwork laid so well the first time, part two should do these two characters better justice by making them more focal components of the core unit.

How Likely Is It?: Very hard to say. They've always been two of the "lesser" Rangers even in the original series, so they may want to stick to a formula that works.

At the same time, the filmmakers have made a lot of smart creative choices so far that defied fan worries, so maybe they'll take this criticism on-board. 5/10
